In all productive units Raizen, the area of ​​Social Responsibility develops projects to mobilize the employees of citizenship and social participation. Here are some of these actions:

The purpose of the campaign is encouraging the spirit of solidarity in the company by means of the donation of gently used clothes. The donations are sent to the Social Solidarity Fund in each location where the company is active.

The pilot of the project was implemented in 2012 at one of Raízen’s offices, with the aim of stimulating the employees to direct a part of their income taxes to a solidarity action. Through this initiative, the taxpayer who files the full income tax statement may direct up to 3% of the amount due to social projects registered at the Childhood and Adolescence Fund.

The Christmas Campaign engages employees in a social action that benefits underprivileged children. Social entities in the cities where the company has production units, offices and airports are selected. Each child writes a letter to Santa and describes the gift he or she would like to receive. The letters are published at the company’s units so that the employees adopt a child and give him or her the gift he or she wishes. Each toy donated by the employees is matched by Raízen sending a certain quantity of milk to another social entity in the area.
